JUST ADDED — One of our favorite new bands — another one from Denmark! — is Akiri, and we’re putting them on the stage at Logo Shanghai on Saturday, Aug.7, 2010, to play along with the Acid Pony Boys.
Akiri says their music is “Nintendotronica” but it’s on a way bigger level than just another 8-bit wunderkid, this 3-person band plays on proper gear — Moogs, synths, and even a violin !
Their songs rock like Crystal Castles, but singer Anna Lidell’s soaring vocals are instantly catchy and infectious like Feist.
