The cardinals return to LOgO supported by Taiwanese dj Chewie!

The Cardinals mix genres as easy as they mix their drinks. Their blues makes you wanna play air guitar. When they play rock, you’ll pump your fist in the air. And when they drop into reggae mode, you’ll have to groove …man. They have played together for more than two years and developed a bond that is easy to see as they rock out on-stage, playing both originals and covers in an original way. The Cardinals are the resident band at Melt Into Mondays at The Melting Pot 288 as well as at Rastafarout! at Windows Underground and have played at many other venues in and around Shanghai. In 2007, The Cardinals blew away the red-carpet set at the launch party for My Blueberry Nights by Hong Kong director Wang Kar Wai. They also held some special events in which they paid tribute to the Beatles, as well as the 80’s. Their current project is about combining the music of Bob Marley with that of Pink Floyd.
The Cardinals truly embody the spirit of global harmony - Adam (vocals/guitar) is from Australia, Sandro (bass/vocals) is from Italy and Knut (drums/harmonica/vocals) hails from Norway. They play a wide range of music, spanning rock, blues, reggae and more, with some great original tunes and an original take on covers. They have been playing together for almost two years after meeting in Shanghai.

DJ Chewie, aka Jim Lee, from Taipei, Taiwan, started out playing house records in the winter 0f 1997. Over the next ten years, sounds as diverse as prog, tech house, nu skool breaks, two-step, breakbeat garage, progressive and even drum ‘n’ bass, found their way into his sets.
Now, in early-2006, progressive once again forms the basis of his sets, though he’s just as comfortable spinning breaks-based sounds. The “Thinking man” tag that’s sometimes attached to DJ Chewie’s sets in no way takes away from the inherent danceability of his track selection. And by Taipei clubland standards, the vinyl in his bag offen the very definition of fresh.
When he’s not DJing, Jim Lee organizes club nights and one-off gigs in Taipei clubs. DJs he’s brought to Taiwan as event organizer with AB Koo and Manchu Productions include Sasha, Lee Burridge, James Zabiela, Adam Freeland, Phil K, Tayo, Mo Shic, Steve Gerrard, DJ Hyper, Dan F, Evil 9, Jonathan Lisle, Luke Chable and Matrix.

曾是推動台北D&B和Breaks音樂的團體AB Koo與Manchu的一員的他，先後為大家帶來了Sasha, James Zabiela, Lee Burridge, Mo Shic, Steve Gerrard, Adam Freeland, Phil K, Evil 9, Luke Chable, Jonathan Lisle, Tayo, DJ Hyper, Dan F, Matrix…等多位享譽國際的超級DJ。受到多位國際知名DJ的肯定與背書的他，依然不變初衷地播放著他最喜愛的音樂與大家分享。
2004年七月首次登上紐約知名電音網路電台Proton Radio，受邀演出Guest Mix。
2004年九月更受邀於日本澀谷著名的Club Womb，與Lee Burridge和Ko Kimura同台表演，成為登上Womb舞台的第一位台灣DJ！
2005年四月與Phil K一同於東京巡迴表演。
2005年十一月受邀於日本西麻布著名Club Yellow與Ko Kimura同台較勁，也是在Yellow演出的第一位台灣DJ！
